SOME 1,000 people gathered at the Che Wee Khor Moral Uplifting Society in Butterworth, Penang, for a feast to welcome the Chinese New Year and celebrate the society's anniversary.
Society chairman Tan Khoon Hoe said the open house lunch was to celebrate the society's 54th anniversary and alsothe Chinese New Year.
