THE Malaysian Halloween Carnival and Fun Run was an atypical event that encouraged participants to don fancy dress costumes to complete their run.

The event that featured 3km and 8km routes saw participants running around the neighbourhood of Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, in characters such as Maleficent, Spider-Man, Captain America, vampires and zombies.

Organised by M-150 Energy Drink Malaysia and its national distributor Infra Bunga Sdn Bhd, the event was held over an October weekend at the Piazza, Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

“We are excited to bring the Malaysian Halloween Carnival and Fun Run to life,” said Infra Bunga Sdn Bhd managing director Saw Lip Jin.

“This event is all about embracing the spirit of Halloween and having a blast.

“It’s an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together, have fun and create lasting memories,” he said, adding that the organisers planned to make next year’s event bigger and better.

The carnival included events such as a fashion show blending traditional and contemporary style in support of autistic children, local textile competition, batik painting activity, inflatable playground, racing car simulators, carnival games, T-shirt painting and lucky draw.

There were also performances by local talents such as Kaka Azraff, Sid Murshid and Talitha Tan.
