AirAsia X flies Malaysian athletes to Bangkok for Asean Para Games


AirAsia X is providing special charter services to Malaysian para athletes and coaches for the Asean Para Games 2025. — AirAsia X

In support of national sports, AirAsia X is flying Malaysian athletes competing in the Asean Para Games 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand from Kuala Lumpur.

Under a special charter arrangement between the National Sports Council of Malaysia and AirAsia X Berhad, the airline is flying approximately 360 athletes to the Games between Jan 15 and Jan 27.

The Games will officially take place in Bangkok from Jan 20-26.

The airline's initiative enables the entire Malaysian contingent to travel together, ensuring greater comfort, as they prepare for the regional sporting event.

AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail said in a press statement, “It is an honour to fly our national heroes to Bangkok. These athletes represent the best of Malaysia. Their determination, resilience and spirit inspire us all. We are proud to play our part in supporting their journey to the Asean Para Games.”

Beyond providing aviation services, the charter reflects AirAsia X’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities, reinforcing its role as a dedicated partner in Malaysia’s sporting journey.
