Brisbane in Australia has always been popular for its diverse natural wonders, drawing holidaymakers from around the globe.

But now, there’s another reason for visiting: Bluey’s World Brisbane!

Based on the wildly popular children’s TV show of the same name, Bluey’s World is an immersive experience featuring a vibrant, larger-than-life set depicting Bluey’s family home and backyard.

(The TV series revolves around Bluey, a loveable blue heeler dog, and his family – Mum, Dad, and little sister Bingo.)

Visitors to Bluey’s World Brisbane get to go on a guided “tour” of the Heeler home, while at the same time look for Bluey and Bingo who have been “frozen” by Unicorse the annoying hand puppet. Each visitor’s mission is to unfreeze Bluey and Bingo, with the help of some familiar characters.

The 4,000sq m set mainly features the front porch and living room, which are where Bluey and Bingo spend most of their time playing.

Bluey’s World producer Andrew Kay shared in press release, “With interactive play zones, photo opportunities with beloved characters, and unforgettable moments around every corner, Bluey’s World is the ultimate experience for families, fans, and anyone who loves the joy, magic, and heartwarming adventure of Bluey.”

Bluey’s World Brisbane (blueysworld.com) opened to the public on Nov 7, with an “official blue carpet” premiere on Nov 12. The event was only supposed to run for a few months but due to overwhelming demand, it has now been extended to run until September 2025. This means that fans in Malaysia have ample time to head to Brisbane and check out this unique experience.

Our travel tip: The peak season is from May to September so expect flights to be on the higher side. If you can, go during the shoulder season instead, which is March to April.

Cruise with CityDogs

Visitors can now explore Bluey's "hometown" with the launch of CityDogs, a catamaran ferry service in Brisbane.

Formerly called the CityCat, it has been renamed CityDog to celebrate the opening of Bluey's World Brisbane.

The vessel has always been popular with both tourists and locals, who use it to get around the city.

Hop aboard the vessel at the Northshore Hamilton ferry terminal and ride along the calm Brisbane river an exciting way to discover the city's unique offerings.
