I was very apprehensive about the trip. I was just your regular weekend hiker and I wasn’t sure if I would survive walking for 30 days.

I was going on El Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St James. This is a network of pilgrim routes that leads to the city of Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain. The most popular route starts from St Jean Pied de Port (SJPP), in the south of France, and goes across the northern part of Spain to Santiago, covering a distance of 780km.
