In celebration of the Formula 1 spirit, following the Grand Prix race that took place in Malaysia recently, partners, media and other guests of Breitling, Aston Martin and Glenfiddich got together for an afternoon of shared appreciation for the worlds of watchmaking, motorsport, precision and artistry.
At the heart of the celebration is Breitling’s partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team – a natural meeting of two worlds built on precision, performance and pushing boundaries.
This partnership was brought to life through the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, a timepiece inspired by Aston Martin’s racing heritage and engineering excellence.
The watch features a lightweight titanium case, a green carbon dial with lime accents drawn from the Aston Martin Aramco livery, and a perforated racing-inspired fabric strap.

Powering the timepiece is the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer with a 70-hour power reserve, built for absolute timing accuracy under pressure.
Enhanced night time visibility keeps the watch legible under any conditions.
Its matte-black rotor, developed specially for this edition, is made of tungsten coated with high-durability PVD (physical vapour deposition) and features the Aston Martin Formula One Team logo.
Additional caseback engravings include “One of 1959” and the phrase “Instruments for Drivers.”
The timepiece is limited to 1,959 pieces, paying tribute to the year Aston Martin first entered Formula 1.

That same era saw drivers Graham Hill and Jim Clark − both aircraft pilots as well as F1 competitors − wearing Breitling Navitimers.
Developed in 1952 as a wrist-worn
cockpit instrument for aviators, the chronograph’s circular slide rule let pilots calculate speed, time intervals, and fuel consumption.
Hill and Clark carried those functions from the sky to the F1 circuit, turning the Navitimer into a trackside essential too.
It is a fitting continuation of the Navitimer’s own legacy – from its origins as an essential pilot’s instrument to its place today on the Formula 1 grid with Aston Martin.
The occasion also marked a special moment for Breitling as they welcomed Weiron Tan as its newest Regional Friend of the Brand.

Introduced to go-karts at the age of 13, Tan went on to become the first Malaysian champion in the PLUS Yamaha SL Cup Championship at 15.
He made his racing debut in Europe in 2011, competing in the WSK Series under the Works Kosmic Racing Kart Team.
He was the only Malaysian among six other young international drivers chosen in the AirAsia Team Lotus Driver Development Programme in 2011 and became the first Malaysian to win a motor race in the United States.

Tan joins a community of individuals who embody Breitling’s spirit of adventure, performance and ambition.
The occasion is even more meaningful as it brings together two accomplished Malaysian racing drivers whose careers have taken them across the international motorsport stage, each carving their own distinctive path in the world of racing – Tan and Jazeman Jaafar, Breitling’s long-standing Regional Friend of the Brand.
