Anticipation is at an all time high for Wicked. The cast has been making their rounds at premieres around the world, showcasing head-turning looks on the red carpet.

Green is of course the choice colour (a nod to the capital of the fictional Land of Oz, Emerald City).

The film – an adaptation of the stage musical of the same name, which in turn was loosely based on the 1995 novel of the same name – tells the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz story from the perspective of the Wicked Witch of the West and Good Witch of the South.

Cast members Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater and Bronwyn James were seen totally having fun with their looks, posing for photographers in glamorous designs.

Erivo and Grande, the two titular characters of the film, share a special bond fashion-wise.

“We can consult with each other and talk with each other through all of this. And that we can do basic best friend things like turning up and looking at our outfits, and realising that we’re in sync and realising that the friendship runs deeper than we ever knew,” Erivo told Vogue.

The male lead, Bailey, is known as an icon when it comes to menswear. He has been spotted at fashion weeks showing off his versatile style of dressing.

Yeoh is no stranger to glitz and glamour. The Oscar award-winning Malaysian actress always turns heads at all the events she attends. She is currently the global ambassador for Balenciaga.

The costumes of Wicked are expected to really wow viewers. Ahead of the film’s release, special collaborative collections have already been released to the public in partnership with fashion labels, department stores and more.
