Maurice Lacroix boutique in The Exchange TRX Kuala Lumpur.
Maurice Lacroix, a name synonymous with urban-themed watches, has just opened a boutique in the fast-paced city of Kuala Lumpur.
This mono-brand store – the second of three this year in the luxury marque’s global expansion strategy – upholds the brand’s distinctive “cool and young style” of expression.
The boutique in The Exchange TRX mall is established in partnership with Watatime, a leading authorised retailer of luxury watches in Malaysia.
It houses the Maurice Lacroix’s full product portfolio in an urban-themed setting dressed in neon, metal and concrete.
The interior of the boutique is inspired by architectural structures in the world’s leading cities.
The brand’s mantra “Your time is now” occupies a prominent spot in the store, emblazoned across one wall.
Celebrating the opening alongside Maurice Lacroix chief commercial officer Marcel Gut are Watatime managing director Brian Tham and deputy managing director Sean Tham.
Gut, who flew in for the occasion, says, “The design of this latest boutique is inspired by the buildings, the streetscape and the vibrant tempo we associate with the great metropolises around the globe.
“The result looks cool and young.
“We are glad to be in Kuala Lumpur and plan to open another boutique very soon...maybe a little closer to home!”
Highly trained staff will be on hand to provide specialist advice to clients and convey Maurice Lacroix’s unique approach to delivering Swiss quality.
For almost 50 years, the brand has demonstrated its watchmaking expertise, crafting watches at its base in Saignelégier, Switzerland.
The more than 15 awards it has won attest to the manufacture’s innovative, avant-garde and perfectionist spirit.
Maurice Lacroix continues with its culture of creating affordable luxury watches with iconic designs.
In 2016, the brand released Aikon, a reinterpretation of the Calypso that was its iconic model from the ’90s.
The 21st century timepiece’s design language embraces bold urban-styling and masterfully plays with contrasts.
Other collections in its stable are the popular Pontos, Fiaba, Eliros and Masterpiece, the ultimate expression of Maurice Lacroix ownership embodying urban-style and mechanical refinement.
