Datuk Rizalman Ibrahim recently made headlines when he was appointed as Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) newest board member. He is expected to contribute with his expertise within the fashion industry.

The veteran designer's experience spans more than 25 years. He is known for his glamorous designs, which are often seen combining fashion daring with wearability.

Rizalman, 48, is a graduate of UiTM. He first applied to study interior design at the university but instead got a place for a course in art and design.

He has come a long way since then. He is now recognised for having a penchant for the dramatic, with his creations seen on high profile actresses, recording artistes and models.

His successful career not only includes being a fashion designer, but interior designer, event manager, wedding organiser and television personality as well.
