To commemorate the 63rd Merdeka Day, Malaysian fashion brands are releasing special collections that will allow you to truly show your love for the country.
Kapten Batik for example, partnered with Raw Denim House to release unique handcrafted jeans. The gorgeous design sports a printed batik patch and loop, plus handstamp batik inner pockets. Only 200 pieces are available.
According to the brand, the aim is to spread the spirit of unity and togetherness in conjunction with the Merdeka Day, as well as shine a spotlight on homegrown fashion labels.

The Duck Group has collaborated with renowned Malaysian cartoonist Lat (Datuk Mohammad Nor Mohammad Khalid). The result is a range of beautiful fashion accessories.
There is a scarf featuring a sketch of Malaysia's idyllic countryside scene – done in the manner of Lat's familiar strokes of ink. Also available are pouches, tote bags and much more.
Batik Boutique, on the other hand, released colourful Merdeka-inspired designs. The ketupat bag, taking its shape from the namesake Malaysian delicacy, is especially cool.
There is also a tote bag showing the iconic landmarks of Kuala Lumpur. The Merdeka-themed batik shirt for men is hand-made using a traditional block printing technique by Malaysian artisans.

"We Malaysians love our food, jom makan and celebrate Merdeka together!" reads the press statement.
