There's nothing unusual about the presence of rats in cities, but their increasing proliferation is of growing concern to the scientific community.

A recent study published in the journal Science Advances reveals that these rodents are multiplying especially in metropolises where temperatures are rising most rapidly – a phenomenon accentuated by global warming.
