Bavarian researchers seek to make hops resistant to climate change

No hops, no beer.

But the plants with their characteristic tendrils and cones are suffering from climate change. Due to drought and heat, the harvest in Bavaria, Europe’s most important hop-growing region, dramatically collapsed last year.
