Ireland is due to launch a major cycling plan this year to develop a vast network of cycle paths for both towns and villages.

This is part of a broader climate action plan, which aims to drastically reduce CO2 emissions throughout the country.

This plan includes the development of local bicycle networks as well as the construction of new greenways, reserved for non-motorised vehicles, throughout the country.
