Spanish Moss: Low maintenance greenery for your living room

Hanging plants look great in rooms with high ceilings, and Spanish Moss – or, to give it it's Latin name, Tillandsia usneoides – is particularly easy to care for.

The good news is that Spanish moss is very low maintenance. The plants do not need soil or a pot because, as a species of bromeliad, they have virtually no roots.

Spanish moss is so low maintenance you don't even need to water it. An occasional spray of moisture is enough.
