Its entrance is marked by a 'No Admittance' sign, but come April, that sign will no longer lead the way to the cocktail bar called Omakase + Appreciate, one of Malaysia's pioneering cocktail bars.
In a post on its Facebook page, Omakase + Appreciate founders Karl Too and Shawn Chong wrote a heartfelt message to its fans announcing that the bar will be closing its doors for good on April 6.
"The past few years have not been the easiest and we feel that the business has run its course. After 7 years of memories behind this door, we have come to the difficult decision to close Omakase + Appreciate for good," they wrote.

Omakase + Appreciate was one of the pioneers of the now burgeoning Malaysian cocktail scene, and the bar shot to international fame when it was named No.10 on the Asia's 50 Best Bar list in 2016, the first Malaysian bar to receive such an accolade.
It also won Most Creative Cocktail Programme twice in a row at The Bar Awards Kuala Lumpur in 2017 and 2018, while Chong also won Bartender of the Year – Kuala Lumpur in the 2018 awards.
According to the post, Omakase + Appreciate will make its final call for drinks "when the clock strikes 12 midnight on the 6th of April 2020 (5th night, 6th morning)."
Mindful of the current Covid-19 outbreak, Too and Chong have called on those planning to pay them a farewell visit to "keep vigilant and practice good hygiene and safety".
"At the bar, we have hand sanitiser and we do what is necessary to keep surfaces clean," says the post.
