Taking care of a pet who can't see is not easy, and it's not for everyone. So if you feel that pity impulse driving you to thoughts of adoption, here are some things to consider.
Your home needs to be safe, which means steps, balconies and sudden drops need to be fenced off. As the garden may have biting insects, intruding dogs or even difficult birds, you will not be able to leave your dog outside as a guard dog.
