WHO looks into traditional medicine

According to the WHO, 40% of approved pharmaceutical products currently in use are derived from natural substances, including aspirin, which draws on formulations using willow tree bark. — AFP

The World Health Organization (WHO) launched its Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) at a site in India on April 19 (2022).

The GCTM knowledge hub is aimed at unlocking the potential of traditional medicine by blending ancient practices with modern science.
