Malaysian conservationist wins Women In Science award for work with mangroves

Growing up at the foothills of Penang Hill and playing by the beaches of Batu Ferringhi as a child instilled in Dr Alison Wee a love for nature and the environment.

That’s why the assistant professor at the School of Environmental and Geographical Sciences in the University of Nottingham Malaysia has been working to conserve the country’s natural coastal habitats.
