British pop group Sugababes are back with their first studio album in a quarter of a century. The group - comprising singers Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan - announced on social media that a new 12-song album will be released in February next year.
"We’ve poured so much into this record and the more it came together, the clearer it became that there was only one thing we could call it: ‘SUGABABES’," a post on the band's Instagram page reads.
According to the group's PR team, it is the first complete studio album since their debut One Touch in 2000.
The original line-up also featured on the 2022 album The Lost Tapes. However, some of those songs had been recorded years earlier, when the trio worked together under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan (MKS).
Sugababes enjoyed their greatest success in the 2000s, when the trio became known for hits like Overload, Freak Like Me and Push the Button.
Alongside the new single Ghost - for which a music video is set to be released - three further tracks from the upcoming album, Jungle, Weeds and Shook, are already available on streaming platforms. – dpa
