After nearly a decade of bringing laughter into viewers’ homes, TVB’s long-running sitcom, Come Home Love: Lo And Behold, is set to close its curtains.

The series, which premiered on Feb 20, 2017, will air its final episode on Aug 7, 2026.

To celebrate the show’s enduring legacy and the friendships forged over the years, cast members including Mandy Lam, Jimmy Au, Jack Hui, Andrew Chan, Kelly Gu and more gathered for a farewell dinner.

Lam, 49, shared that the gathering was a simple one, with each person paying just HK$20 (RM10.41) for the meal.

Despite its modest price tag, she said everyone had a wonderful time.

Come Home Love: Lo And Behold is the fourth instalment in TVB’s Come Home Love sitcom franchise.

The original series ran for three years, while the second and third each lasted a year.

According to Hong Kong media reports, the franchise will continue with a fifth series, titled Come Home Love: Three Generations Sharing Sweetness, which is scheduled to premiere on Aug 10.

Among the Come Home Love: Lo And Behold cast, Terry Li is reportedly the only actor returning for the new series, although he will be playing a different character.

Lam jokingly said that as Li’s “older sister”, she would be keeping an eye on his performance and would not hesitate to criticise him if he failed to impress.

The upcoming instalment will feature a largely new cast, including actresses Stephanie Che, Jinny Ng and Desta Lee.

Che, who will lead the series, acknowledged that some viewers may be concerned about the new chapter feeling “boring”.

However, the 52-year-old said she and the cast would do their best to deliver an entertaining performance.

As for whether she could fill the shoes of actor Danny Lau Dan, who led the first and fourth instalments, Che humbly responded in the negative, describing Lau as an irreplaceable figure in the sitcom genre.
