Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat is making headlines for his reaction after being mistaken for fellow actor Lo Hoi Pang.
According to reports, the 70-year-old was spotted taking a stroll around Tsim Sha Tsui, looking as cheerful as ever in a long-sleeved top and glasses.
Though he appeared pressed for time, Chow still took a moment to engage with fans – signing autographs and happily posing for photos.
In a video circulating online, a passerby can be heard asking Chow: "Are you Lo Hoi Pang?"
Despite the mix-up, the actor showed no sign of irritation.
When he didn't respond, the passerby persisted and asked for his name.
To this, Chow simply joked, "I'm Hilton Cheong," drawing laughter from fans on the scene.
Cheong, who died at the age of 99, was a politician and businessman who served the Urban Council of Hong Kong for 34 years.
The amusing encounter quickly went viral on social media, with many netizens praising Chow for not getting angry, while others expressed surprise that some didn't recognise the star.
"I'm shocked he doesn't know who Chow Yun Fat is," one person commented.
Another wrote: "Fat Gor's reply had me laughing so hard. I love his wit."
For the record, Lo, 84, was classmates with Chow and the late Richard Ng Man Tat in TVB’s 1973 Training Class.
He's best known for his performance in the 2011 movie Life Without Principle, which earned him the Best Supporting Actor honour at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards.
