Multiple sources, including Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding DJ, are detailing the “inappropriate” dance Victoria Beckham allegedly shared with her eldest son at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, with one saying it left guests “deeply uncomfortable.”
The 26-year-old son of Posh Spice, 51, and David Beckham claimed in a multi-part Instagram statement Monday (Jan 19) that his mother “hijacked my first dance with my wife,” during which he said Victoria “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
“The dance was deeply uncomfortable, and people did notice at the wedding,” an insider told Us Weekly.
The source claims that the fashion designer “nuzzled on Brooklyn’s neck in front of everyone and he made a face.”
Brooklyn “was in shock and upset,” they continued. “It was inappropriate and weird.”
But another source speaking to the outlet felt the former Spice Girl “just seemed to be having a fun time” and people were not “gossiping.”
DJ Fat Tony – who played the three-day affair, including the “most awkward” post-wedding brunch, where everyone was recounting the dance – said that the most “inappropriate” element of the dance “was the timing.”
“There was no slut-dropping, there was no black PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girl action,” he told Britain's This Morning programme. “Marc Anthony was performing onstage, he then … asks ‘the most beautifulest [sic] woman in the room’ to come to the stage and then he says, ‘Victoria.” It was then that the bride rushed out “crying her eyes out” and her groom seemed “devastated.”
“Marc Anthony’s like, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips,’ and it was a Latin thing. The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room,” continued the DJ.
Brooklyn and the 31-year-old daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz wed in April 2022 and renewed their vows last summer.
Brooklyn proclaimed in his statement that he did “not want to reconcile with my family” and accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
David, 50, in what has been viewed as a response to the explosive statement, pointed to the “dangerous” impacts of social media on mental health.
“Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So that’s what I try to teach my kids. So you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well,” said the retired football star. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
