Singaporean actor-host Ben Yeo, who turned 47 on Sept 23, marked his birthday by showing off his six-pack abs on social media.

“Ahead of my 47th birthday, I collaborated with a few friends for a photoshoot to mark a personal milestone,” he wrote.

“Not just to show how I look but to celebrate how I feel at this stage of life. Big thanks to my body coach @jamestan8590 for all the guidance and pushing me to new limits.”

The Mediacorp artiste, who is married with two sons aged 13 and 16, was seen in the photos either topless or wearing a shirt exposing his abs.

Mediacorp’s artiste management arm The Celebrity Agency also shared on social media a behind-the-scene video of Yeo at the photo shoot.

“A glimpse behind the scenes of a year-long grind and determination,” it wrote on Instagram on Sept 24. “Well done @benyeo23.”

Several of Yeo’s local celebrity pals commented on his Instagram post.

“What an inspiration. Going to the gym now,” wrote Wonderland (2023) and Stranger Eyes (2024) actress Xenia Tan.

“Very spoil market,” remarked Yes 933 radio DJ Chen Ning. “Thank you for being so genuine.”

“47... got 20+ body,” added All That Glitters (2023) actor Jeremy Chan. “Respect brother.”

Yeo was in the news in January after he announced the closing of the high-end modern Chinese restaurant he founded, Tan Xiang Yuan, after two years. He told the local Chinese-language media then that he had incurred more than S$1mil (RM4.22mil) in losses from the venture.

He has since opened a new outlet of Tan Xiang Sliced Fish Soup at a food court in Orchard Towers in July. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
