Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu unexpectedly passed away on Feb 2 after catching influenza-related pneumonia while vacationing in Japan. She was 48.

More than seven months on, her Korean husband Koo Jun-yup, better known as DJ Koo, continues to mourn her deeply, often visiting her grave at Taipei's Chin Pao San Cemetery.

Last week, DJ Koo was seen visiting Hsu’s resting place with two friends.

He brought along her favourite snacks and candles, laid out six photos of them together and spent time sketching ideas for a memorial statue in her honour.

Reports say that the group stayed at the gravesite for over an hour before leaving.

In an interview with Taiwanese media, DJ Koo was asked how long he intended to remain in Taiwan and what he would normally share with Hsu during his visits.

Though he remained reserved, when asked if he often dreamed of her, he grew visibly moved and replied softly in English: “Of course.”

Following their visit, DJ Koo and his friends drove to a three-storey villa in Jinshan, which overlooks Chin Pao San Cemetery. The 3,500 sq ft property is said to be worth tens of millions of New Taiwan dollars.

Reports indicate that DJ Koo has yet to return to the home he once shared with Hsu, leaving the residence unoccupied.

Hsu and DJ Koo first started dating in 1998 but broke up a year later.

The pair rekindled their romance after Hsu's divorce from Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in November 2021 and married on Feb 8, 2022.
