China-born superstar Jet Li revealed in August that he had bought a 300,000 yuan (RM177,440) car as a wedding gift for his eldest daughter Li Si, 37.
Just over a month later, the 62-year-old, who now holds a Singaporean citizenship, was seen at a car dealership in Beijing’s Fengtai district to pick up the vehicle.
In a video shared on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, Jet Li was seen dressed casually in a button-up shirt with black pants, complete with a pair of sunglasses.
But what really caught the attention of netizens was the action star’s necklace, skillfully crafted using precious Dzi beads.
Regarded as “heavenly treasures” in Tibetan culture, Dzi beads are believed to hold protective powers.
While modest in appearance, the accessory carries immense value.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Li purchased the beads from a temple in Tibet in 2010 for RM11.8mil. Today, they’re valued at an estimated RM59mil, marking an appreciation of RM47.2mil.
In another update, many netizens also noted Li’s healthy appearance.
The actor had previously given fans a scare on Aug 17 when he shared a video of himself in a hospital bed.
It was later revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove a small benign tumour and has since been in good spirits.
