Taylor Swift’s isn’t taking any chances when it comes to her safety. When she attending her fiancé Travis Kelce’s game Sunday, she was shielded by a bullet-resistant wall.

In a video posted on X, security guards are seen surrounding the protective screen as it was being rolled through Arrowhead Stadium, seemingly hiding someone inside.

Typically, we see videos of Swift strolling into stadiums to watch Kelce play as she makes her way to her suite. But on Sunday the singer kept a low profile.

Swifties have speculated the tightened security is due to the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk last week.

Kirk spoke about Swift just two weeks before his death, making comments about her engagement on the Real America’s Voice network: “This is something that I hope will make Taylor Swift more conservative.”

The late podcaster said that marrying Kelce could “de-radicalise” her and transform her from “a cat lady to a JD Vance supporter.”

It’s been speculated that Kelce might be Republican since he said it would be an “honour” to play in the presence of President Donald Trump at the Super Bowl.

Kirk also called for Swift to “reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge.”

This isn’t the first time Swift has had to go great lengths to protect herself from harm.

In a 2019 essay for Elle magazine, the musician spoke about security threats prompting her to start carrying QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, “which is for gunshot or stab wounds.”

In Swift’s 2020 documentary Miss Americana, the singer’s dad was so “terrified” about his daughter’s safety that he “went out and bought armoured cars.”

Swift has been outspoken about her criticism of the Trump administration. After the president’s response to Black Lives Matter in 2020, Swift wrote on X, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?” – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
