Canadian singer-actor Kelvin Kwan recently visited Malaysia for work with his wife Joann, a flight attendant.

During their stay in Kuala Lumpur, the couple – who tied the knot in 2024 after over six years of dating – took the chance to indulge in the famed King of Fruits.

On Aug 16, Joann took to Chinese social media site Xiaohongshu (Red Note) to share photos of the two enjoying durians together.

She admitted that while they don’t usually eat durian, they were so taken by its taste that they bought 10 boxes to bring back to Hong Kong, where Kwan, 42, is based.

“They don’t smell bad at all and are super delicious! We even bought 10 boxes to bring back to Hong Kong. We think the Musang King is the tastiest, followed by the Black Thorn,” Joann wrote in the caption.

She also shared a lighthearted complaint, revealing that her husband had lost their wedding ring while sightseeing in KL.

“Forget it, he can buy me a new one when we’re back in Hong Kong. Luckily, I wasn’t wearing mine,” she joked, adding an angry emoji.

A handful of netizens have left comments welcoming the couple to Malaysia, while others playfully teased Kwan for being careless enough to lose his wedding ring.

“Why is Mr Kwan so clumsy?” one fan wrote.

Another quipped: “How could you lose a ring? He deserves to be punished!”

Joann replied to every comment and cheekily responded to one, saying: “He has to kneel on the durians!”
