Hong Kong singer-actress Renee Dai took to Instagram on Aug 1 to share what she called “a very happy news”: the 40-year-old is finally pregnant.
In her caption, she wrote that the journey had not been easy, describing it as one filled with “countless efforts and failures”.
But the most important thing, she said, was that she never gave up.
Dai expressed her deep gratitude for the “precious gift” of impending parenthood in the caption accompanying several photos of her showing off baby bump.
The Rebellion actress, who married a non-celebrity in October 2021, also opened up about the emotional and physical challenges she and her husband faced.
She thanked their family and friends for their unwavering support during the difficult times.
Dai also acknowledged the role her medical team played in helping her through the journey.
According to entertainment portal Dimsum Daily, Dai underwent 300 injections as part of the IVF process.
