Popular Hong Kong actress Katy Kung has broken her silence on the rumours claiming she has been frequenting a racecourse in search of a wealthy partner.
The speculation surfaced after several netizens noted her repeated appearances at the venue, with some even suggesting that she might be facing a slowdown in her acting career and is currently “hunting for a rich husband”.
Despite winning Best Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards last year, Kung, 35, is rumoured to have received no new job offers in the past eight months and only has one remaining drama left to air with TVB.
In an interview with Hong Kong news outlet HK01, Kung firmly dismissed the accusations, emphasising that her recent visit to the racecourse was simply to support a close friend.
When asked if her friend had tried to introduce her to any potential suitors, the Big Biz Duel (2024) star brushed off the idea, adding that she's in no rush to find love.
“We rarely talk about such things,” she said.
Kung also rubbished rumours that she's out of work, making it clear that she continues to receive numerous offers.
She added that many brands have approached her since her Best Actress win, and she's currently enjoying some downtime before committing to new projects.
