Actor Kim Min-hee has given birth to a son with South Korean auteur Hong Sang-soo.

According to a report by entertainment outlet Dispatch, Kim is staying at a postpartum care centre in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, following the birth.

Kim reportedly learned she was expecting a child with Hong last summer.

The couple met while working together on Hong’s 2015 film Right Now, Wrong Then and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2017.

The couple lives in Hanam, where Hong relocated after moving out of the home he owns with his wife in Seoul’s Gangnam district.

He is said to have settled in Hanam with Kim, where Kim’s parents also live.

Born in 1982, Kim is 22 years younger than Hong.

Hong, who married in 1985 and has a daughter, filed for divorce in 2016; however, the process stalled after his wife refused to accept the divorce documents.
