TVB star Eric Tsang's daughter Bowie visits local actress Lee Sinje in Malaysia

Taiwanese television host Bowie Tsang, the daughter of renowned Hong Kong filmmaker Eric Tsang, recently visited Malaysia for the first time in two decades for a book reading session.

During her stay, she took the opportunity to reconnect with her good friend, Malaysian actress Angelica Lee Sinje.

On Thursday (April 9), Lee, 49, shared a photo with Bowie Tsang on Facebook, alongside a caption that read: “Bowie said she had not visited Malaysia in 20 years. When she got on stage and saw the crowd waiting for her, she was moved to tears!”

Lee described their catch-up over a meal at her place as “surreal”, noting that their previous encounters had always taken place in Taipei.

“I never imagined that we would one day gather at my home. Fate is truly amazing. Welcome to Malaysia! I hope you visit more often. There are many beautiful places here waiting for you to discover,” Lee added.

Many netizens have since flooded the comments with welcoming messages for Tsang, while others gushed over her friendship with Lee.

"Welcome to Malaysia. You will gradually discover the beauty of our small towns. We have a vibrant multicultural heritage," said one netizen.

"Such a precious friendship," added another.

Tsang and Lee previously collaborated on Tales Of Taipei, which served as the closing film for the 2023 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival.

Produced by Tsang and co-directed by Malaysian filmmaker Chong Keat Aun, the movie features a star-studded cast including Lee, as well as award-winning Hong Kong actors Sammi Cheng and Ronald Cheng.
