Popular Hong Kong actor Michael Miu has spoken out in support of his daughter Phoebe’s fashion choices, China Press reported.

Phoebe, 34, has been turning heads lately with her bold sense of style and toned figure.

In an interview with HK01, Miu, who’s married to actress Jaime Chik, said he has no issues with daughter wearing revealing clothing or flaunting her physique on social media.

The 66-year-old added that his personal preferences don’t matter – what matters most is that Phoebe feels confident and comfortable in what she wears.

“She’s still young and can dress however she wants. It’s her choice. She doesn’t have to wait until she’s 60 to dress like that,” he said.

Miu also touched on his daughter’s decision to pursue her acting career in Canada instead of Hong Kong.

According to the Legend Of The Condor Heroes (1983) star, Phoebe chose to work in Canada as the competition in Hong Kong is much more intense.

“Since her Chinese isn’t very strong, she prefers to avoid situations where she has to use it,” he added.

Phoebe has starred in multiple productions since joining the entertainment industry in 2015, after graduating from university.

She’s known for her performances in productions such as Upload (2020 to 2023), Riverdale (2021), Die In A Gunfight (2021) and more.
