The amazing Iman, the daughter of Singapore football legend Fandi Ahmad, returns with bold new single 'It Is' after a successful US outing

SINGAPORE (Agencies): After enthralling viewers at the 2026 National Day Parade (NDP) on Aug 9, Singaporean singer, actress, and model Iman Fandi recently shared the stage with American rapper Snoop Dogg at an event in the US. And now the Singapore-born artist Iman Fandi is releasing her new single "IT IS" on Aug 21.

The single is now available on all digital music platforms. Bold, playful and self-assured, the single marks the latest milestone in Iman's independent career - one shaped by major live performances, growing regional presence, and strategic brand partnerships across South-East Asia.

"IT IS" distills an unapologetic message of feminine confidence and self-worth. The track rests on the belief that real value is demonstrated rather than promised, and on the certainty that comes with knowing your worth, refusing to justify it, and insisting on action instead of words.

It embodies a woman fully grounded in her own strength, who will not make herself smaller, explain away her value, or wait quietly to be picked.

"This is something I have personally learned throughout my life," Iman shares. "While the song's message is rooted in confidence and self-possession, it also carries a playful nod to the people who always ask, 'Is this song about me?' The answer is part mystery, part mischief: if you think it is about you, maybe it is."

That playful edge gives the track its sting. It says exactly what it needs to say and nothing more, standing as both a declaration and an early glimpse of the fearless artist Iman is becoming.

2026 has positioned Iman as a rising independent force in Southeast Asian pop. Early in the year, she performed at the AFC Asian Cup (football's premier continental championship), a half-time slot that carried deep personal meaning given her family's long-standing sporting and cultural legacy.

That momentum built through a high-profile National Day Parade performance - Singapore's major annual cultural celebration - where she performed "Giants" (co-written with Weish) before a 42,000-strong crowd at the National Stadium, broadcast live nationwide.

Then, on Aug 15, the 26-year-old, who is the daughter of football legend and sister to current Singapore stars Irfan, Ilhan, Ikhsan and Iryan, performed at an invitation-only live music event titled Superstar Among Friends: Broadus Together. It marked the international debut of her new song It Is, which was just released.

Brought together by TikTok Live Premiere and Death Row Records, the gig was held at The Compound, a space owned by Snoop Dogg in the city of Inglewood, California.

The event was co-produced by Gushcloud International alongside Cordell Broadus, Death Row Games and Boss Lady Entertainment.

"IT IS" arrives alongside collaborations with two of the Philippines' biggest young names: P-pop group KAIA and RAMONA - the musical alter ego of screen star Andrea Brillantes, who turned singer-songwriter this year. The three connected at the NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore, with collaborations rolling out across TikTok through August.

This content-first strategy reflects Iman's approach to building her independent career regionally. Live performances continue through the end of August and beyond, with school and community engagements planned throughout the remainder of 2026.

For the record, Iman Fandi is a Singapore-born singer whose work sits at the intersection of music, fashion and contemporary culture. The daughter of Fandi Ahmad, a legendary figure in South-East Asian football, Iman is building her independent career at the intersection of music and cultural commentary.

Her artistry is rooted in themes of growth and resilience, which underpin her anticipated 2026 EP "Afterglow". With a sound shaped by modern pop and R&B and a presence spanning major regional stages and brand partnerships, she is establishing herself as a closely watched independent voice in South-East Asian pop. "IT IS" follows her 2026 singles "Tip Toes" and "Out Of My Mind", and signals the next step into the Afterglow era. -- Agencies
