Chinese actress Song Yiren, 31, recently shared snapshots from her family trip to Malaysia on her social media.

In one of the photos, the 160cm-tall actress was seen stretching up to take a bite of roti tisu, which sparked amused reactions from netizens who joked that she “needs a step ladder to eat it”.

Song, who goes by Ireine Song as well, also visited Singapore and Thailand during this trip.

For her stop in KL, the actress shared photos of her visiting Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) and enjoying local food.

There was that photo of her sampling roti tisu in the daytime and later in the evening heading to another Mamak restaurant to enjoy fresh coconut water.

Her casual and youthful appearance during the trip impressed fans, with many marvelling at how young she looks.

Others simply welcomed her with warm messages, such as "Happy New Year!" and "Welcome to Malaysia!"

Born in Shandong, China, Song moved to Canada at the age of eight. Returning to China to pursue an acting career, Song rose to fame with her breakout role in the historical fantasy drama Ever Night (2018), followed by popular dramas such as The Prince Of Tennis, Flavor It’s Yours and Professional Single.
