Suria FM celebrated its 17th anniversary at Menara Star in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, last Friday (Dec 6).

Aptly titled "Suria 17 Tahun, Suria Penuh Memori", the event was graced by business partners and talents who have played a key role in organising the radio station’s segments.

Among the celebrities present include Ramlah Ram, Sarah Suhairi, Ara Johari, Baggio Damasutra and Ustaz Don Daniyal.

In her speech, Suria FM General Manager DJ Lin said the event was not just a celebration of the radio station’s anniversary.

It's also a recognition of Suria FM’s achievement in attracting over 3.3 million weekly listeners in the GFK Radio Hearing Measurement survey last month – a 10% increase compared to the figure recorded in the previous survey.

“These are milestones that the Suria team takes great pride in, and we’re thrilled to share this special moment with all our loyal listeners,” she said.

In a bid to strengthen its bond with its listeners, Suria FM also hosted two TikTok live streams (9am to 10am; 4pm to 5pm), rewarding lucky viewers with exclusive Suria merchandise – including T-shirts and tote bags.

DJ Lin, whose real name is Roslinda Abdul Majid, reiterated that the Malay-language radio station will continue delivering the best content to its audience.

“We hope this event deepens our connection with our audience, especially those who have supported us since the very beginning,” she added.
