Hong Kong actress Elaine Yiu opened up about her love life in a recent episode of Hong Kong Marital Affairs.

During the interview on the talk show, Yiu was asked if she had ever met someone she envisioned marrying, to which the 43-year-old responded "yes".

However, the TVB star acknowledged that the person she had in mind might not have been the right match for her after all, and she would have ended up divorcing if they were to marry.

"When you're unhappy and lost, the people that come into your life often aren't the right ones. When you're lost, anyone who comes along feels right," she said.

Yiu also discussed her past experiences with long-distance relationships.

Recalling a particular instance, the actress revealed she once dated a Malaysian man during her time studying in Australia. Sadly, their relationship came to an end because of distance.

"After completing our studies, I moved back to Hong Kong while he returned to Malaysia. In the end, we broke up," she explained.

"Even though I studied communication back then, I didn't really know how to communicate (well)," Yiu said, hinting that their split might have been a result of poor communication skills.

In 2019, Yiu was branded a homewrecker when photos of her in bed with then-married businessman Raymond Young were circulated. The actress said at the time that she thought Young was already divorced.

While Yiu is single and interested in a relationship at the moment, the Unholy Alliance star said she doesn't want to force things for now.

"It's not about finding anyone to marry, but meeting the right person. Marriage is a lifelong commitment for me," she said.
