Grammy-winning musician Kitaro to perform in Malaysia after 7 years

Award-winning Japanese composer, musician and recording artiste Kitaro is set to entertain fans in Malaysia after a seven-year absence.

The 71-year-old will be performing at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting at 6pm on June 23 as part of his The Best Of Kitaro Live In Malaysia 2024 tour.

The upcoming show promises fans an immersive musical journey filled with captivating melodies.

Known for his diverse and multifaceted musical abilities, Kitaro's signature style combines contemplative, evocative and highly melodic synthesiser work with acoustic instrumentation.

His repertoire – encompassing more than 24 albums – spans across genres such as New Age, environmental, instrumental, electronic and folk music.

In 1999, Kitaro, took home the Grammy for Best New Age Album with Thinking Of You. He has 16 other nominations in the same category.

Kitaro also received a Golden Globe Award for the original soundtrack, Heaven & Earth, for the 1993 film of the same name.

Other popular works include Silk Road, Matsuri, Reimei and Water Of Mystery.

Tickets to The Best Of Kitaro Live In Malaysia 2024 tour, priced between RM188 and RM598, will go on sale starting noon on March 21.
