Renowned Hong Kong actor Francis Ng was recently spotted in Penang.

In several photos shared by a blogger on Xiaohongshu on March 5, Ng – dressed in a graphic tee and a pair of ripped jeans – can be seen waiting outside a bakery in Burmah Road, George Town.

Although the blogger couldn't find the opportunity to greet the movie star, she was satisfied with just catching a glimpse of him.

"He's really handsome in person," she added.

Others also claimed to have seen the actor in Jelutong and other places around Penang.

According to China Press, Ng, 62, was seen filming a show alongside Taiwanese actress Janine Chang and Chinese singer Justin Huang in Penang last month.

He's said to be a regular at a prawn noodle restaurant in Penang.

Ng played a Malaysian cop in Herman Yau's The Leakers (2018), which was filmed in Penang in 2017.

In a previous interview with a Malaysian site, the Golden Horse Award-winner said that food was one of the things he loved most about working in the state.

"I remember me and the crew having all kinds of local delicacies and it was great being in Penang," he told the online portal.
