It’s been almost six months since Puteri Sarah and Syamsul Yusof went their separate ways as husband and wife.

Despite the time that has passed, it seems Datin Patimah Ismail has not stopped wishing for the well-being of her former daughter-in-law.

On Instagram recently, Patimah expressed hope that Puteri Sarah will find the happiness she desires someday.

"May happiness be yours," she wrote on Instagram, as reported by mStar – The Star’s Malay-language portal.

Patimah, wife of Datuk Yusof Haslam, shared this hope along with photos of Puteri Sarah and her grandchildren.

In the comments section, many of the netizens praised Patimah for consistently being on Puteri Sarah's side, even though the latter no longer holds the title of her daughter-in-law.

In fact, some netizens expressed their hope that they could have a mother-in-law as good as Patimah.

"Sarah is lucky to have a sincere and kind-hearted mother-in-law. In-laws like this are truly rare."

As previously reported, Syamsul's mother has never wavered in defending Puteri Sarah even at the height of the divorce case in court between Puteri Sarah and Syamsul.

At one point of time, Patimah even indicated that she only considers Puteri Sarah as her daughter-in-law and wife to Syamsul.

Syamsul and Puteri Sarah got married in 2014 and were blessed with two children.

However, they officially divorced on June 14 in the Sharia Lower Court of the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur.

Syamsul’s current wife is Ira Kazar.
