Taiwanese star Ella Chen, who is married to Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai, was in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.

Chen was in KL to attend a meet-and-greet organised by a healthcare company which she's the brand ambassador.

While in KL, Chen – like most tourists – took the opportunity to sample some Malaysian food, namely bak kut teh and roti tissue.

The member of the Mandopop girl group S.H.E. shared photos of her delish food with her 1.6 million fans on Facebook.

"Malaysia's Roti Tissue, here I come," she captioned the photo of her at a mamak drinking, what looks like, teh ais.

In another two photos, she asked the question: "And Bak Kut Teh, do you like soup or dry?"

And like a local, Chen recommended that the meal should be accompanied with, "Dark soy sauce + chilli + garlic = standard".

Chen married Lai, who hails from Melaka, in 2012 after dating for one-and-a-half years. They held two glitzy wedding banquets – one in Melaka and another in Taipei. The couple have a five-year-old son, Daniel.
