After the reunion of the stars of Indiana Jones' Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan and The Mummy 3's Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Fraser recently, another celluloid reunion has gone viral and this one got fans misty-eyed.
Back To The Future actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reunited on Oct 8 at the New York Comic Con.
Fans were delighted to see the pair together on stage, 37 years after the release of the movie.
Back To The Future is a sci-fi comedy released in 1985 where Fox played Marty McFly who travels back in time using a time machine designed by “Doc” Emmett Brown played by Lloyd. This blockbuster spawned two sequels.
Videos of their reunion posted on social media have gone viral. In the video, Fox, 61, embraced Lloyd, 83, as the latter joined him on stage. Both stars looked emotional as fans erupted in thunderous applause.
“Watching (Michael J. Fox) hug Christopher Lloyd like this is so beautiful," a fan tweeted. "It’s a beautiful moment in time,” another fan wrote.
One video of the reunion has gotten over nine million views on Twitter.
Fox, a heartthrob in the 1980s who rose to fame in the sitcom Family Ties, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991.
At the reunion, he told audiences that Lloyd has been a pillar of support for years.
“Parkinson’s is the gift that keeps on taking – but it’s a gift, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
“People like Chris have been there a lot for me, and so many of you have. It’s not about what I have, it’s about what I’ve been given – the voice to get this done, and help people out,” Fox said.
