More and more music artistes are heading to Malaysia for concerts after a two-year hiatus.

MICHAEL LEARNS TO ROCK

Danish band Michael Learns To Rock is planning to return to Arena Of Stars, Genting Highlands for a show on Oct 22.

MLTR, which comprises Jascha Richter, Mikkel Lentz and Kare Wanscher, has been to our country many times and continues to be a favourite with Malaysians.

Fans can expect to listen to MLTR's popular tunes such as Paint My Love, 25 Minutes, That's Why You Go Away at the show.

Tickets for MLTR's Back On The Road concert are priced at RM638 (VIP), RM588 (PS1), RM388 (PS2), RM238 (PS3) and RM158 (PS4) and available from rwgenting.com and my.bookmyshow.com, from Aug 12.

TERESA TENG

The next "artiste" to take stage at Arena Of Stars is Teresa Teng... or rather the hologram of the late singer to be precise.

Known for a string of classic Mandarin hits such as The Moon Represents My Heart and May We Be Together Forever, Teng had captured the hearts of many listeners in the 1970s and 1980s. Sadly, she passed away in 1995.

However, with new technology, fans can enjoy her performance once again.

Resorts World Genting is collaborating with Digital Domain, a California-based visual effects and digital production house, to stage a show using state-of-the-art holography featuring the late Teresa Teng on Oct 29.

Armed with a dictionary of Teng’s movements, expressions, facial and body features, Digital Domain has crafted a virtual hologram of the beloved singer, effectively re-creating her on-stage persona.

Joining her on stage will be En-Ray, Chang Chin Yu and Chan Ai Chia – known as Japan’s Teresa Teng, Taiwan’s Teresa Teng and Malaysia’s Teresa Teng, respectively.

Tickets for Teresa Teng The Legend Hologram Concert are priced at RM739 (VIP), RM529 (PS1), RM329 (PS2) and RM199 (PS3) and available now from rwgenting.com.

JOEY YUNG

Hong Kong star Joey Yung will be back to Arena Of Stars on Nov 5. Yung was supposed to perform here in March 2020 but the Joey Yung The Tour Love In Genting Concert had to be shelved due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fans can expect an energetic show from Yung who has been in the music industry for 23 years.

Tickets for Love In Resorts World Genting – Joey Yung The Tour Asia are priced at RM1,026 (VIP), RM776 (PS1), RM506 (PS2) and RM316 (PS3) and will start to go on sale on Aug 15 from www.rwgenting.com

Fans who previously purchased tickets to Joey Yung The Tour Love In Genting Concert can exchange for new ones for entry on the day of the concert.
