Roslan Aziz, one of Malaysia's popular music producers, says he is suffering from stage four lymphoma.

The 60-year-old revealed this in an interview with Astro Awani recently. Roslan added that his doctor said he has only six more months to live.

Roslan said he found out about the cancer when he went for a medical check up in November last year after suffering abdominal pains.

"Of course, when I was first told that I have cancer, I was devastated. But I have accepted my fate. I might not live long with my condition," he told Astro Awani, adding that he is undergoing chemotherapy.

The music producer, who was once married to singer Sheila Majid, said he is grateful to have family and friends who are concerned about him.

"Cancer has made me realise that in this world, we cannot be alone ... family and friends are important," Roslan said, adding that he is thankful his 83-year-old father is living with him at home.

Roslan said showbiz friends such as Puan Sri Tiara Jaquelina and Ida Nerina have visited him since his diagnosis.

"Whenever my friends drop by to give me moral support, I feel happy. I appreciate their support," he said.

In the interview, Roslan also thanked his wife Sopphilea Hamid whom he has been married to for 23 years.

"Sopphilea has been my best friend and soul mate. She is my rock as I fight the disease."

Roslan added that he has no regrets as he has achieved most of what he wanted to do in life.

"I have been told by my doctor that I have about six months to live. I know I’m going to die and there’s nothing to be sad about. What saddens me is that I won’t be with my wife and children anymore,” he said.

Roslan made a name for himself in the Malaysian music industry in the 1980s and 1990s. He established his own label Roslan Aziz Production with singers such as Sheila Majid and Zainal Abidin in the stable.
