Malaysian-Swiss singer Timur’s debut single boasts songwriters with K-pop credibility

Malaysian-Swiss singer Timur is making her debut in the music industry with impressive backing.

Signed under the Malaysian independent music label, KRU Music, Timur – whose full name is Timur Flores Ling Schnyder – has released her first single and music video titled Not A Criminal.

The track is written and produced by top pop dance talents, namely Hayden Bell (EXO/Super Junior), Ronny Svendsen (Girls’ Generation/ITZY), Anne Judith (NCT 127/Kylie Minogue) and Gustav Efraimsson (Monsta X/NKOTBSB).

It also has a four-part music video series directed by Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim.

Timur said via a press statement: “As a new artiste, I’m truly grateful for the support given by the team of world class professionals such as Gustav, Hayden, Ronny and Anne; not forgetting Datuk Syafinaz as my vocal coach and Datuk Yusry for directing my music videos.

“It has been almost two years since the team at KRU Music and I have worked on this project, and to finally see the first single to be released, is truly an exciting experience.

“I hope the fans will like my music and will be entertained with the series of music videos that will be launched back-to-back in the coming months."

There are English, Malay and Mandarin versions of Not A Criminal as Timur – whose mother is Chinese Sarawakian – is fluent in all three languages.
