Kanye West cryptically wrote he is “dead” and referenced his divorce from Kim Kardashian in a pair of poignant poems Tuesday (March 8).

In the second piece, titled DEAD, the rapper said the only people who loved him “would come to my grave and sprinkle some bread/ so on my tombstone the birds would be fed".

“I would give new requests but nothing was said,” West wrote in the poem shared on Instagram. “Cause no one wanted to tell me I was DEAD.”

He also referenced seeing a “front page article of my murderers story” in purgatory toward the end of the poem, without naming the killer.

In the Instagram post’s caption, West said art “is subjective” and suggested he’d leave the poem open for interpretation.

“I will not explain this new piece for the explanation destroys the mystery and magic of true love and puts it in a box that can be counted,” West wrote.

In his other poem, titled DIVORCE, the 44-year-old West compared going through a divorce to “full blown Covid,” “suffocating,” “walking on glass” and taking a “spiritual beating every evening".

“DIVORCE feels like your kids were snatched from your control,” West wrote. “DIVORCE feels like you’ve been shot and traffic is slow.”

Kardashian, 41, filed for divorce last year after nearly seven years of marriage with West. The star-powered duo have four kids together who range in age from two to eight.

West, who is known for songs such as All Of The Lights and Jesus Walks, has been vocal in his desire to get back together with Kardashian.

Last week, a judge agreed to make Kardashian legally single as other parts of their divorce, including child custody and property arrangements, are resolved.

Kardashian is now romantically linked to Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson, which has been a point of contention for West.

The rapper shared a music video for his song Eazy last week that seems to depict a cartoon Davidson being kidnapped and buried alive from the neck down. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
