Keira Knightley and her family have been stuck at home after testing positive for Covid-19.
The virus has taken its toll on the 36-year-old as she admitted that she hasn't been feeling great. "Do you mind if we don’t turn our camera on? It’s just that I’ve got Covid and I’m feeling pretty rubbish," she requested during a recent interview with The Time's Stella magazine to promote her upcoming film Silent Night.
The actress went on to confirm that her children and husband are all currently battling the illness. Her husband, James Righton, however has been asymptomatic. "(He's) being very smug about it. He is convinced it's because he's one of those cold-water swimmers and I'm not," she joked.
She was thankful that her two young daughters, Edie and Delilah, have been recovering faster than she is.
Knightley revealed that spending much more time at home amidst the pandemic has made her consider retiring from the entertainment industry. "It felt lovely, because we’re a family that had, up until then, moved around the whole time,” she added.
Whether she would follow through with it, she replied: "I feel frazzled right now because we’re trapped in the house with Covid, but if you talk to me in about two weeks’ time, I’ll see it with rose-tinted glasses again."
The Pride & Prejudice actress had withdrawn from the series The Essex Serpent last year after concerns of having to quarantine in other countries. With her youngest daughter having turned one, Knightley made the decision to prioritise staying home and caring for her.
The star's upcoming horror-comedy Silent Night, is scheduled to be released on Dec 3 and will see her star alongside the likes of Matthew Goode and Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of actor Johnny Depp.
