Singer Ernie Zakri admitted that she sometimes forgets that she's now pregnant when it comes to fulfilling her work demands. This has caused her to not have enough rest which has affected her health. Ernie, who is married to fellow singer Syamel, is five months pregnant.

The Gundah singer took to Instagram on Oct 19 to share that her health has not been good due to lack of rest. "Just returned to Kuala Lumpur from Penang, back to work tomorrow. I think I should listen to my body, the baby must be sad, mother didn't rest yesterday," she wrote.

The 29-year-old further shared that she has been waking up with difficulty breathing, suffering from headaches and was also vomiting. Her symptoms were so severe that she finally decided to free up time in her schedule to recover.

Luckily, Ernie said she's feeling better now and has gone for a medical check-up. The doctor also advised her not to overwork.

"Before I got pregnant, I was very active, my body still thinks like it used to be. We used to do two or three jobs a day, being OK with sitting on set for 12 hours," she told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

To ensure that the workload doesn't become too overwhelming again, Ernie said that her husband will be keeping tabs on their schedules to ensure she gets proper rest.
