Pop star Kesha is about to embark on a new journey that will see her hunting the paranormal. Not to worry though, as she's had a special encounter with spirits before.

Travel Channel announced on Oct 13 that the artiste will be starring in her own docuseries called Conjuring Kesha. Joining the singer on her venture into several haunted locations are some of her celebrity friends as well as professional paranormal investigators.

Kesha said in a statement: "Over the course of my life, I’ve always been drawn to the supernatural and the spiritual realm. Making music I’ve felt was a cosmic connection between my soul and something bigger than me that I couldn’t explain.

"On this new show, I will bring along my friends to some of the most mysterious paranormal hot spots to explore with me. We will explore life’s great mysteries and aim to catch something never-before-seen on camera."

The 34-year-old also expressed that her hope is for the show to prove to the world of the existence of the paranormal and not a "thing of myths and fables".

This follows a previous claim made by the Die Young singer in 2012 upon the release of her single Supernatural. During an interview with KIIS FM, she revealed that the song was about her intimate experience with a ghost. It was "about experiences with the supernatural, but in a sexy way".

Conjuring Kesha is scheduled to premiere in 2022 with six hour-long episodes.
