There seems to be no end to celebrity Neelofa getting in trouble with the netizens.
She became their focus once again when a video of her celebrating Aidilfitri with family members was uploaded on May 13.
The Aidilfitri SOP set by the Malaysian National Security Council under the current movement control order prohibits house-to-house visits.
The video believed to be uploaded by Neelofa’s older sister, Noor Nabila Mohd Noor, on her Instagram on the first day of Syawal was taken down after a short while.
According to a report by mStar, The Star’s Malay portal, the 26-second video showed Neelofa’s family members greeting and hugging each other.
Among those seen in the video are Neelofa’s husband, PU Riz; her brother-in-law, Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin and his daughter, Engku Eleesya; as well Neelofa’s mum and stepdad.
The question netizens are asking is whether all these family members are actually living under the same roof.
The SOP states only family members from the same household can gather in a home, and no visitors are allowed.
One netizen commented: “So joyous ... here we are afraid to meet our close family members, and they are kissing and cheek-kissing! Did they all come from above?”
Another wrote: “Do they live in a longhouse that they are able to celebrate together?”
Previously, Neelofa and her family members were compounded a total of RM60,000 for not adhering to the SOP during her marriage solemnisation ceremony and for interstate travel.
Neelofa and PU Riz, who got married on March 27, were also investigated for violating interstate travel when they went to Negeri Sembilan to purchase carpets.
