A string of Indian actors Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood and Neil Nitin Mukesh have tested positive for Covid-19.

The actors took to their respective Instagram accounts to make the announcement on April 18.

"I have tested positive for Covid-19. Even though I am asymptomatic, I have isolated myself and home quarantined, getting the needed medical care. I am following all protocols as is required of me," Arjun, 48, wrote.

The father of two added: "To all those who have been in contact with me in the past 10 days, please take care and take the necessary precautions.

Meanwhile, 47-year-old Sonu, who also have two children, chose to stay optimistic despite the diagnosis.

He wrote: "Covid-19 – positive. Mood & Spirit – Super positive."

Lastly, Neil and his family – including his daughter, his wife, his father and his brother – have all tested positive.

The 39-year-old told Bollywood Hungama his two-year-old daughter Nurvi tested positive first.

"You can imagine how tough it is for me to know Nurvi is with the virus. She’s tested positive. But, luckily she is not in any discomfort.

"She was down with fever the first two days, and that’s how we all got ourselves tested."
